Jamie Ager Announces Victory in District 11 Race

Asheville, NC — Following a race projection from the Associated Press, Democratic candidate JAMIE AGER has declared victory in the race to represent North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District.

“I’m honored to have our neighbors’ confidence to represent them in Congress,” said AGER. “This is my promise to you as your next Congressman: I’m going to go up to Washington, DC, and fight like hell to make sure each and every one of us has that fair chance. I’m going to fight for better wages, lower costs, quality healthcare, and the Helene recovery funding we still need.

“I’ll never sell out any community and I will spend every day fighting to make sure no one is left behind, no matter who they are, what they believe, or whether I agree with them,” Ager continued. “Tonight, we get to celebrate. Tomorrow, we get the chance to start building a government founded in honesty, community, and hard work. Thank you again to every voter, donor, and volunteer who believed in this campaign. We couldn’t have done it without you.”

Ager will be the first Democrat to represent North Carolina’s 11th District since Heath Shuler from 2007–2013, and continues the legacy of his grandfather, Jamie Clarke, who represented the seat from 1987–1981.
