Fairview, NC — The campaign team for Jamie Ager, Democratic nominee for Congress in North Carolina’s 11th District, issued the following statement on Jennifer Balkcom’s selection by Republican insiders to replace Chuck Edwards on the ballot:

“Republican insiders have picked their candidate, and now the corporate PACs, Washington insiders, and dark money groups have a name to put on their checks.

“Jennifer Balkcom has already taken tens of thousands of dollars from corporate interests in Raleigh — and she knows they want someone in this seat who answers to them in Washington. Jamie Ager answers to the people of Western North Carolina and nobody else.”
